Spanish Rice (Crock Pot Recipe)

I came across this recipe when going through my recipe box. I remember getting it from a friends mom after having this for dinner at her house. This delicious recipe is so easy, it’s great for one of those days you don’t feel like cooking. It also makes a pretty large amount so it’s also good for serving a crowd.

2 lbs. ground beef
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 green peppers
2 onions
3 cups water
2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup long-cooking rice, uncooked

1. First brown and drain the meat, then chop the peppers and onions.
2. Add all ingredients to the crock pot and mix well.
3. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

This filling meal is comfort food to me and my family. I serve this garnished with cheese, but you can also top it with some sliced green onion, hot sauce, or a dollop of sour cream. Enjoy!
